About our District

Castle Rock School District serves more than 1300 students in grades Kindergarten through 12, in and around Castle Rock Washington, a small semi-rural community in the southwestern part of the state; the district is located on the Interstate 5 corridor about a third of the distance from Portland, Oregon to Seattle, W
ashington.
The schools are structured into three centers: Castle Rock Elementary School, serving approximately 650 students from Kindergarten through 6th grade; Castle Rock Middle school, with approximately 250 students in grades 7 and 8; and Castle Rock High School, which serves approximately 450 students in grades 9 through 12. In addition to regular classes, the district supports Enter-K, a pre-kindergarten program for children 3 and 4 years of age having special needs, and provides space for Head Start classes. At the high school level, the Oddysey program assists students with needed credit recovery.
The district employs about 80 teachers, six administrators, and over 125 support staff.
The district actively partners with parents, area businesses and the community, working together to help our students become respectful, responsible and productive citizens who make sound, informed life decisions and contribute to the betterment of their communities.
